Wild Farmlands
Focused on enhancing resilient ecosystems along the central coast of California, the Wild Farmlands Foundation is dedicated to the regeneration of the landscape, while at the same time, supporting the area’s current and next generation of farmers and ranchers. As part of this mission, WFF has undertaken the goal of planting and maintaining hundreds of native oak trees which will help to prevent soil erosion, improve soil health, increase water holding capacity, provide habitat for wildlife and eventually provide shade for cattle and other livestock. With help from a SFF grant, WFF has been able to plant, protect, and water hundreds of oak saplings on their 900-acre site near Santa Barbara.
