Occidental Arts and Ecology

Occidental Arts and Ecology is a non-profit organization working to develop sustainable and inclusive landuse practices. The SFF supported the OAEC in efforts to create and enhance wildlife habitat through invasive plant removal and habitat enhancements. Habitat improvements benefitted raptors and cavity-nesting birds, reptiles and amphibians including several salamander species, and over 25 species of mammals. Additionally the OAEC collaborated with North Bay Jobs with Justice (Home | NB Jobs with Justice (northbayjobswithjustice.org)), co-hosting a crew this past January for a full week of hands-on work, education and leadership training.
